Childbirth can
be the most wonderful experience ever, but all too often it is
surrounded by thoughts of pain and fear.
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could over come those fears and
move towards a birth that was positive from the start.
I will help you learn a variety of techniques that can assist you
in labour to help you have a more comfortable and positive birth
experience.
There has been much research that shows that mothers who prepare for
childbirth using hypnosis have a more positive birth experience. Hypnotherapy has a range of proven beneficial outcomes in
childbirth including:-

Reduced fear,
tension and pain in the mother which increases her ability to relax
mentally and physically; reducing the need for pain medication.

Reduced use of pain medication means reduction of undesirable
post-operative effects to both mother and baby.

No
depression of respiratory or circulatory functions in mother or child. |

No interference
with normal mechanisms of labour. |

Shorter
labour minimises maternal exhaustions. |

higher Apgar score. |

practitioner I am keen to promote these benefits to pregnant women (and
couples). Whether this is
your first birth or not we can work together to make this as positive
for you as possible. I am
happy to work with individuals, couples or small groups.

positive as it can be.
